Oluwadamilare Olarinde, MD

Dr. Damilare Olarinde is a family medicine resident in the SSM Health St. Anthony Family Medicine Residency program. She earned her medical degree from Avalon University School of Medicine.

Dr. Olarinde was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and spent her early years there. She also attended boarding school there before moving to the United Kingdom, where she earned a degree in biomedical science from the University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol.

After graduating, she returned to Nigeria to complete a mandatory national service year. During this time, she witnessed significant disparities in healthcare, especially in rural and underserved communities. She also came to understand the critical role health literacy plays in improving health outcomes. These experiences sparked her passion for global health, preventive medicine, and expanding access to care in areas that need it most. She later moved to Curaçao to attend Avalon University School of Medicine and eventually relocated to the United States to complete her clinical clerkships.

When she is not working, you may find her reading a good book, watching anime, or spending time with friends and family.
