Margaret Punt, MD

Margaret Punt is a board certified internal medicine physician. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, NE and earned her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. She completed her residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, WI.

Dr. Punt is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.

"As a primary care physician, I strive to provide medical care which is focused on the "big picture" including the patient's physical, mental and emotional health. I value open communication between the patient and doctor and favor a shared decision making model for medical decisions. I believe that in order to provide the best care there should be effort from both the patient and the physician to listen, compromise and communicate effectively. I continually work on staying up to date with current medical literature and translate this into providing evidence based care. My specific medical interests include preventive health care, diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, anxiety and depression".
