I have had a succession of internists as primary physician at the East Clininc all of who have left SSM. Dr. Sarnaik is at Fish Hatchery. Hang onto her.

What has stayed with me several days later is not a feeling of wellness or partnership, but a feeling of diminishment. I came to this appointment seeking proactive self-care and left feeling processed through age-based assumptions and scripted protocols rather than seen as an individual person. I understand the importance of preventive screening and Medicare requirements. My concern is with the tone, framing, and overall patient experience. The interaction felt more focused on decline, risk, and compliance than on collaborative health and long-term well-being. For patients entering this stage of life, the emotional impact of these encounters matters. A wellness visit should leave patients feeling informed, respected, empowered, and motivated to continue engaging in their healthcare. Instead, this experience planted anxiety and hesitation about future care. I hope this feedback is received in the spirit intended: not to criticize preventive medicine itself, but to encourage a more human, individualized, and dignity-centered approach to patient care.

She's very nice. I just wish she would have spent more time asking questions about me. I also felt like her after visit notes were a bit inaccurate about some of the things we discussed (or didn't discuss).

I am so grateful! I had a great time as a new patient and feel very great about proceeding with care with Dr. Sarnaik as my PCP. She answered all my questions, was patient, and developed a thorough and effective care plan.
