Dr. Kurt Piening is an internal medicine specialist who provides comprehensive primary care services for patients ages 18 and older. In addition to a focus on general health, his areas of expertise include obesity, coronary artery disease, chronic high blood pressure, diabetes, respiratory infections, back pain, and muscle pain.
Inspired by his Jesuit education, Dr. Piening strives to be a 'Man for Others,' and practicing medicine allows him to do just that. He enjoys the diagnostic challenges that come with being a primary care provider, while being able to care for multiple generations of families. His patients appreciate how knowledgeable, thoughtful, patient, and thorough he is.
Dr. Piening is a member of the American Medical Society; American College of Physicians; and the American College of Internal Medicine.
Fun fact: Medicine is a family affair for Dr. Piening - his five sons are either licensed physicians or training to become physicians.
