The Society of Hospital Medicine defines a hospitalist as a physician who delivers comprehensive medical care to acutely ill, hospitalized patients. Dr. Benjamin Reid is a hospitalist who treats adult patients at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, offering comprehensive care for complex illnesses across every organ system. One of the reasons I like Dr. Reid is that he is laid back and puts me at ease. I tend to be a worrier and his demeanor is calming. He takes my concerns seriously but is not alarming.
