Benjamin Reid, MD

The Society of Hospital Medicine defines a hospitalist as a physician who delivers comprehensive medical care to acutely ill, hospitalized patients. Dr. Benjamin Reid is a hospitalist who treats adult patients at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, offering comprehensive care for complex illnesses across every organ system. He uses the latest technologies in patient care, including point-of-care ultrasound.

Dr. Reid's research interests include interactive and clinical medical education, patient safety and quality improvement.

He is a clinical instructor of internal medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

Dr. Reid is a member of the American College of Physicians.

Before going to medical school, Dr. Reid earned a degree in environmental policy and worked as a hemodialysis technician. Outside of work, he enjoys playing bass guitar, table tennis and running.
