Dr. Angela Hairston is a family medicine resident in the SSM Health St. Anthony Family Medicine Residency program. She earned her medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Before medical school, she taught chemistry at John Marshall Enterprise High School and Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC). She earned her undergraduate degree from Alcorn State University and her master's from Georgetown University.

Dr. Hairston chose family medicine because she considers it an honor to be someone's primary physician. She is passionate about helping people from all backgrounds access high-quality, equitable care. Family medicine aligns with her calling to lead in the community and serve the underserved.

She was drawn to the SSM Health and the residency program for its spiritual foundation.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Hairston enjoys gardening, painting, going to church, serving others, and spending time with her family and daughter.
