Dr. Kewser Said Yassin is a family medicine resident in the SSM Health St. Anthony Family Medicine Residency program. She earned her medical degree in Grenada at St. George's University.

Dr. Yassin is the firstborn of *ten* siblings, and she grew up in the lively capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. Every summer, she and her family spent time in the countryside, where she experienced life as most Ethiopians live it-simple, grounding, and deeply enriching.

She was drawn to family medicine because of the chance to tailor care to diverse needs. She is especially passionate about prevention and empowering people to live healthier lives *before* they need treatment.

Dr. Yassin was drawn to SSM Health's compassionate fusion of faith and medicine, and the supportive, welcoming culture.

Outside the hospital, she enjoys painting, sketching, café-hopping, or strolling through parks, and shopping.
