Ju Yeon Cho, MD

Dr. Ju Yeon Cho is a gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist who cares for adults 18 and older, and she sees patients throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area. Dr. Cho has extensive experience treating a wide range of liver conditions, including viral hepatitis B and C, fatty liver disease, autoimmune and metabolic liver diseases, hepatocellular cancer, and end stage liver disease. She also provides evaluations to help determine when liver transplantation may be needed.

Dr. Cho is dedicated to helping patients understand their liver health and supporting them through every step of their care. She believes in clear communication, thoughtful decision making, and partnering closely with patients and their families, especially when managing chronic or complex liver diseases.

Dr. Cho is a professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Her research interests include viral hepatitis, MASLD (Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease), liver cirrhosis, liver tumors, and liver transplantation.
