Faisal Bukeirat, MD

Dr. Faisal Bukeirat is a board‑certified gastroenterologist who cares for adult patients and for pediatric patients with a referral, seeing individuals throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area. Dr. Bukeirat evaluates and treats the full range of digestive disorders and provides comprehensive consultative care. He also offers advanced endoscopic therapies for many gastrointestinal conditions, using modern technology and minimally invasive techniques to diagnose, treat, and manage complex digestive and hepatobiliary problems. His clinical interests include advanced therapeutic endoscopy, GI oncology, and the care of patients with hepatobiliary and pancreatic disorders.

Dr. Bukeirat believes strongly in patient advocacy and providing personalized, patient‑centered care. He is committed to ensuring that each patient's unique needs and concerns guide their care plan.

He is a professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. His research interests focus on GI oncology and hepatobiliary and pancreatic (HBP) disorders.

Dr. Bukeirat currently serves on the American Board of Internal Medicine Task Force responsible for writing the GI Board Exams, and he is a member of the editorial board of the ACG Education Universe for the American College of Gastroenterology.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Bukeirat is a certified personal trainer and a dedicated fitness enthusiast.
