Dr. Carmen Urso earned her medical degree from the Universidad de Carabobo in Valencia, Venezuela, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Maternidad Concepción Palacios in Caracas.

She discovered her passion for Family Medicine after moving to the United States and working as a medical assistant in Chicago. She completed her Family Medicine residency at SSM Health Monroe Clinic Medical Group.

Originally from Sabaneta (Barinas), Venezuela, Dr. Urso is fluent in Spanish and has extensive experience caring for underserved and immigrant communities. She is committed to taking the time to listen, build trust, and develop meaningful relationships with all her patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Urso enjoys spending time with her husband and son, watching Disney movies, exploring new cuisines, and relaxing at the beach.
