Brittany Werme, DO

Brittany Werme, DO, is passionate about specializing in family medicine, as it allows her to build a long-lasting relationship with patients, working together to accomplish their health, spiritual and mental goals. Her personal faith agrees perfectly with SSM Health's Mission, _'Through our exceptional health care services, we reveal the healing presence of God,'_ and she is excited to align her career with a faith-based health care system.

Dr. Werme graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and in biology from the University of Indianapolis. She then completed multiple programs at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tenn., including a Master of Science in Biomedical Professions, graduating as a part of Alpha Chi Honor Society and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Werme then completed a family medicine residency at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital and was recognized as the 'Intern of the Year' in 2020. She also served in multiple leadership roles for the residency program, including chaplain and administrative chief resident. She is also an active member of the SSM Health Medical Group Continuous Improvement Committee. Dr. Werme is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, Christian Medical and Dental Association and the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association.

Dr. Werme was awarded the Outstanding Research Award in 2021.

When not caring for her patients, Dr. Werme enjoys spending time in the outdoors, discovering new recipes and spending time with her family.
