Shawn Fitzgerald, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who provides primary care for children and adults. He sees patients downtown at SSM Health Medical Group, on 100 West Main Street, helping individuals and families stay healthy through every stage of life.

From annual wellness visits and preventive care to treating everyday illnesses and managing long-term health conditions, Dr. Fitzgerald cares for a wide range of health needs. He works closely with patients to help them make informed decisions and achieve their health goals.

Dr. Fitzgerald earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Colorado and worked as an internal and tax auditor for more than thirteen years before pursuing a career in medicine. He received his medical degree from Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa and completed an internship and residency in family and preventive medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Fitzgerald has taught as a professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Fitzgerald enjoys do-it-yourself projects, music, gardening, and cars. He also enjoys learning about German culture, food, and language.
