Shama Khan, MD, provides compassionate primary care for children and adults. She believes in helping patients and treating them with empathy and compassion.

Dr. Khan received a bachelor's degree from Peshawar Medical College in Peshawar, Pakistan. Dr. Khan completed pediatric gastroenterology and pediatric infectious disease internships at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y. Additionally, she also finished an inpatient medical externship at Baylor Scott & White Medical Externship in Waco, Texas. Dr. Khan then completed a family medicine residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences - South Central Regional Campus in Pine Bluff, Ark. Prior to joining SSM Health, she served an emergency room physician for two years. Dr. Khan is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

When not caring for her patients, Dr. Khan is very active. Several of her hobbies include hiking, running, reading, baking and cooking. Dr. Khan also enjoys spending time with her family.
