Excellent Eye Surgeon!

After having multiple appointments canceled by UW when I have some serious eye issues, I decided to go to Dean. Dr. G has been fantastic. I was seen quickly and he did a very thorough job diagnosing my condition. He is very personable and explains. Well.

I appreciated receiving a full exam when I was initially scheduled for a dry eye consult. They saw the need and made the time for it.

Great guy and made me feel comfortable and cared for.

He is a good guy and a good doctor. You guys just don't give him the help to lighten the work load for the benefit of the patients. It is not his fault.

Everything went perfectly. The support staff were very helpful and answered every question I asked. I was extremely happy with the appointment!!

This was my second visit with Dr. G. He took the time to study my medical history and to explain the reasons for the tests, and the results of the tests.

After he came in it appeared that he wanted to get me out. I had to ask him to evaluate a more severe condition that was later found and was handled very well with emergency surgery.

He needs to look at the person when explaining things not away from them.

He is extremely good at doing what he does. He cares about the patient. He is very aware of keeping the environment sterile. He is highly respected by his staff and works very well with them. He is quick and doesn't waste any time, but is thorough.

He explained procedures well and didn't recommend anything that was unnecessary. He apologized for having to wait. I didn't mention or complain about wait times so I was impressed by this!

I liked that Dr. "G" showed me various images taken and what they meant and asked several times about any questions I had that he quickly answered.

Wait times really need to be addressed

He explained the tests that were done and the results.

As new to me, he was well informed about my eye history.

This was my first visit with Dr G. He knew about me and my condition and did a complete check of my eyes. Gave me good input and offered options for future care procedures. A very nice man who seemed to genuinely care about me and my vision.

Having appointments so far apart (3 months IF I am able to schedule on-the-spot) sometimes has felt like a HUUUUGE problem for me!!!! Everything else has been great.

First appointment with them, he went step by step explaining results of my testing, history, and making a plan to move forward. Appreciated the honesty of his explanations and allowing me input in future follow ups.

Very demanding,necessarily so, with trying to get everything done in a limited amount of time. His breath was a little offending.

He sat down with me and took time to go over my medical history concerning my eye condition, let me know issues that may come up in future and took adequate time with me during my appointment. I didn't feel rushed.

Since the new clinic in Sun Prairie requires a much longer trip for me, he suggested that he could see if another ophthalmologist at the west Madison clinic might be available for future exams. Since this was my first visit with Dr. Ghghawala (my previous Dr. had retired), I thought that this was very considerate. But since I was pleased with his exam, I will continue to make the longer trip in the future.

Dr. G has been treating me for a re-occurring eye infection. Which has and is difficult. His attention to my needs has been and is exceptional.

he was trying to explain my eye situation to me while I was in the middle of his examination. I was unable to really have a conversation about the situation and ask questions. Felt I was being pushed to have the cataract procedure without fully understanding the options or timing.

As I sad, he is not robotic, all verbal interactions were ‘clipped’ as in a race. Not a relational person. I will find a different provider.

I had to wait a long time in the room to see him which was inconvenient.

Because he inherited me as a patient, I couldn't get in as soon as I wanted. Every one seemed overwhelmed to me.

He was personable, professional, and attentive. He knew my history and explained things very clearly. Dr. Geanon had said he would ensure I had someone "good" when he retired, and he was right. My second Dr. G and I'm very pleased.

This was my first visit with Dr. Ghoghawala after the retirement of Dr. Geanon. He took the time to study notes in my file and was thorough in the discussion of my history and current check up.

Dr. Ghoghawala was great, although it seemed he wasn't listening at times. To be fair, he was inputting information at the time.
