Ryan Freedle, MD

The Society of Hospital Medicine defines a hospitalist as a physician who delivers comprehensive medical care to acutely ill, hospitalized patients. Dr. Ryan Freedle is a hospitalist who treats adult patients at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital. His areas of interest include inpatient management of hypertension, patient safety and quality improvement, and medical education.

Dr. Freedle is an assistant professor of internal medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

His research interests include defining safe, effective goals for managing chronic diseases in hospitalized patients, employing best practices in medical education, and establishing the clinical utility of emerging biochemical markers of disease.

Dr. Freedle is an avid musician who plays rock music locally, and a surfer who has surfed the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, as well as the Great Lakes.
