Ruqaiyyah Hamid, MD Family Medicine in Oklahoma City, OK

Ruqaiyyah Hamid, MD, provides compassionate primary care for children and adults. She chose a career in medicine to be an advocate for patients and was drawn to family medicine because of the opportunity to provide comprehensive, well-rounded care throughout every stage of life. Dr. Hamid was drawn to SSM Health by the welcoming team and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference for Oklahomans.

Dr. Hamid enjoys building relationships with her patients and providing high-quality, evidence-based care. Dr. Hamid is passionate about community health and is committed to serving diverse patient populations by delivering culturally sensitive, accessible care that addresses each patient's unique needs and circumstances.

Dr. Hamid completed medical school at Dow International Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She then earned an associate degree in biology from Ohlone College in Fremont, Calif. Dr. Hamid finished a family medicine residency program at Piedmont Columbus Regional in Columbus, Ga. While in residency, she mentored junior residents and medical students during rotations and on-call shifts. Dr. Hamid has been published multiple times for her studies in internal medicine and rare clinical conditions.

Dr. Hamid is passionate about helping patients with regard to women's health, weight loss and preventative care.

When not caring for her patients, Dr. Hamid enjoys reading, watching the newest movies and cheering on her favorite basketball team, the Golden State Warriors.
