Rebecca Dyszelski, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist. Dr. Dyszelski is a clinical child psychologist who works with children and adolescents ages 0-18 years. She has trained and worked in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient and outpatient medical centers, residential treatment centers, outpatient mental health clinics, and schools. She enjoys working with a variety of presenting concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, ADHD, disruptive behavior disorders, stress, trauma, and family and peer relationship concerns. Dr. Dyszelski provides individual and family therapy, as well as psychological evaluations.
Dr. Dyszelski specializes in assessing the unique individual needs of her clients and using a collaborative and integrative approach to address their treatment goals and needs. She believes that developing a strong therapeutic relationship is instrumental in achieving positive change. She also emphasizes inclusion of important family members in a child's treatment, as they are essential for supporting children's work on treatment goals and providing the appropriate environment for change. She draws from developmental, family systems, interpersonal, humanistic, and cognitive behavioral models of treatment. Play therapy is often integrated into her work with children when appropriate.
Dr. Dyszelski received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Miami University in Oxford, OH. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque, NM. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship in clinical child psychology at Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, WI.
