Dr. Pratap Chand specializes in movement disorders, deep brain stimulation, and botulinum toxin therapy. He uses electromyography guidance for botulinum toxin injection. His research interests include microelectrode recording during deep brain stimulation, and improving methods of programming deep brain stimulation.

Dr. Chand is a professor in the Department of Neurology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Chand has worked as a neurologist in India, Malaysia, the United Kingdom and Oman. He has presented his research work at international conferences, has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, and has written several book chapters.
