Matthew Webb, MSN, APRN, NP-C, is board certified as an adult geriatric nurse practitioner. He received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in nursing from the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL). He is certified in advanced cardiac life support, basic life support, ECG and EKG interpretation.

Matthew has been an ICU nurse since 2009. Before joining the SSM Health Medical Group, he worked at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis as an intensive care unit nurse and clinical support nurse where he cared for critically-ill patients. In this role, he assisted physicians with medical emergencies throughout the hospital and assisted with interventional procedures.

His specialties include intensive care and electrophysiology. He provides care to patients 18 years and older.

I appreciated that I was able to ask my questions and was given honest answers. I did not feel that I was placated or looked down upon. I am in the older generation and oftentimes my generation is dismissed, but I felt that Mr. Webb treated me with respect and dignity and that that my health mattered to him. I appreciate his expertise and I trusted his knowledge and judgment.

He listens very intently and discusses treatment ideas. He asks if I have questions or concern and addresses them.

I feel very fortunate to be under his care for all the reasons previously stated. He is so well-versed in the care of elderly scared people and has the ability and willingness to truly help with needed support and guidance with the patience of no other. Not only does he listen, he hears me. This is a trait that instills trust and relief.
