Dr. Matthew Breeden specializes in family medicine, with special interest in quality improvement for better patient care, the interface of health care and technology, and office-based procedures. He cares for patients of all ages, treating acute conditions, chronic illnesses, and performing routine office procedures, including skin biopsies and joint injections.
Dr. Breeden is interested in research that examines the effect of technology on health care access and delivery. He has also been involved in several research projects examining the impact of mental health on health outcomes.
He serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He also serves as medical director of informatics. In this role, he works to optimize medical technology to better serve patients and providers.
Dr. Breeden is a diplomate of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
In his spare time, he is an avid cook, baker, and runner.
