Dr. Marta King is a hospitalist specializing in general inpatient pediatric care, medical education, and care for children with complex health care needs. She is interested in research into medical education and pediatric care, including identification and management of hospitalized overweight/obese pediatric patients.

Dr. King is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Academic Pediatrics (Hospitalist Medicine), at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

She is a member of the Academic Pediatric Association and the Council on Medical Student Education in Pediatrics. She serves on several national committees, including the education committee of the Academic Pediatric Association. Dr. King is also a member of the working group of the American Academy of Pediatrics that is developing the curriculum for pediatric resident grief, loss, and wellness.
