Laura Schmidt, APRN-CNP

Laura Schmidt, APRN, is a nurse practitioner who specializes in bone health and provides a fracture liaison service for adult patients ages 50 and older. She is skilled in evaluating and treating patients who are at risk for osteoporosis with the goal of reducing their risk for falls and fractures.

As a bone health specialist, Laura educates her patients and the community about osteoporosis, which is a chronic disease that's not often recognized until a fracture occurs. Her goal is to provide them with advanced, compassionate care that can improve their overall quality of life.

Laura is part of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is also a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation.

Fun fact: When she was younger, Laura enjoyed riding motorcycles.
