Dr. Komal Ashraf is a board-certified neurologist who specializes in headaches, concussion care, and epilepsy. She cares for patients ages 6 years and older and sees patients throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Dr. Ashraf has a special interest in treating headaches, epilepsy, and concussion-related conditions. A key focus of her practice is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to concussion management, using electrodiagnostic devices to help diagnose and monitor concussions. She also utilizes advanced techniques to diagnose and treat medically refractory epilepsy and offers Botox® treatment for chronic migraine.

Services she provides include Botox injections, EEG interpretation, device interrogation and programming for epilepsy, and trigger point injections for occipital and trigeminal neuralgia. Dr. Ashraf is committed to delivering personalized care and helping patients and families better understand and manage complex neurological conditions.

Her research interests include traumatic brain injury (TBI), epilepsy, point-of-care diagnosis, and recovery after concussion.

Dr. Ashraf is an associate professor in the Department of Neurology at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine and serves as director of the concussion program. She is also actively involved in several professional and community organizations, serving on the boards of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the Brain Injury Association of Missouri, and the Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri.
