Dr. Miller is Board-certified in family medicine and certified in obesity medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at Mercy Medical Center after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine in 2009. Dr. Miller graduated magna cum laude from Lindenwood University in 2002. At Lindenwood, she was named Student of the Year, Student Athlete of the Year, and a NAIA diving national champion.

In between undergraduate and medical school, Dr. Miller spent two years in the Peace Corps and then worked in physical therapy.
