Hiral Yalamanchili, MD

The Society of Hospital Medicine defines a hospitalist as a physician who delivers comprehensive medical care to acutely ill, hospitalized patients. Dr. Hiral Choksi Yalamanchili is a hospitalist who treats adult patients at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital. She is focused on providing high-value patient care, consult management, transitions of care, and patient safety/quality initiatives.

Dr. Choksi is a professor of internal medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, where she is Associate Dean of Admissions.

Her research interests include developing processes and quality improvement initiatives that enhance the patient experience through effective, efficient, evidence-based care.

Dr. Choksi is a senior fellow with the statewide Society of Hospital Medicine and a fellow with the American College of Physicians.

She is passionate about all aspects of hospital medicine, from educating residents and students to working with patients and staff, and even working night shifts.
