Farzana Hoque, MD

The Society of Hospital Medicine defines a hospitalist as a physician who delivers comprehensive medical care to acutely ill, hospitalized patients. Dr. Farzana Hoque is a hospitalist who treats adult patients at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital. She offers expertise in management of acute and chronic diseases, end of life care, and high-value, evidence-based patient- and family-centered care. She educates, counsels and advocates for her patients with the compassion and dedication she expects from her own physician.

Dr. Hoque is an assistant professor of internal medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

Her research interests include medical education, the impact of lifestyle on disease prevention, and quality improvement for cost-effective patient care.

Dr. Hoque is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and has received the Young Achiever award from the American College of Physicians in consecutive years.

She is passionate about mentoring the future generations of physicians.
