Emily Machens is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and graduated magna cum laude. She also completed a doctorate of nursing practice, specializing in family medicine from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Emily has worked as a telemetry nurse at SSM Health DePaul Hospital since 2015 and also in the endoscopy lab assisting Drs. Mohrman and McDonough during procedures since 2016.

Emily has special interests in Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), colon cancer and hepatitis C screenings.
