Dr. Wiewel is board certified in family medicine. She completed her internship and residency at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill after earning her medical degree at Loyola University in Chicago. Dr. Wiewel has been awarded recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Diabetes Physician Recognition Program for meeting national standards for diabetes care. She began practicing with SSM Health Medical Group in O'Fallon in 2006. Dr. Wiewel values the relationships established as a family medicine physician. She has a special medical interest in preventive health care.

Dr. Wiewel uses telehealth services to conduct video office visits with current, established patients for: upper respiratory infection, sore throat, cough, seasonal allergies, skin rashes or lesions, mouth and cold sores, flu symptoms, conjunctivitis, UTI, gout, yeast infection and travel medication.

I’m new to the area and was therefore looking for a family physician I noticed Dr. Wiewel had good reviews so I decided to book my annual physical with her. This was my first visit with her and I was very impressed and therefore decided to keep her as my family physician going forward.
