After earning his medical degree at Des Moines University in Iowa, Dr. Smith completed his internship and residency at the Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton in California in 2000. He was on the faculty there and a practicing Navy physician until joining SSM in Warrenton in 2006. Dr. Smith has a special medical interest in chronic disease management including diabetes, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular diseases.
