Attila Ahmad, MD

Dr. Attila Ahmad is a pediatric and adult congenital heart disease cardiologist caring for patients of all ages. He specializes in treating complex congenital heart diseases, heart failure, and single ventricular defects such as the Fontan circulation.

Dr. Ahmad employs advanced cardiac imaging such as cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) and cardiac computed tomography (CT) as well as cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET), electrocardiograms, and cardiac echocardiography to help assess and diagnose various heart conditions. In fact, his skilled utilization of advanced imaging to improve patient outcomes is a cornerstone of his patient care philosophy. With these imaging tests, he's able to detect any underlying heart issues in its earliest stages, which is critical for effective treatment.

Dr. Ahmad is an assistant professor with the Division of Pediatric Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
