Alma Rios Wilson, DO

Dr. Alma Rios-Wilson is a family medicine resident in the SSM Health St. Anthony Family Medicine Residency program. She attended Oklahoma State University for her undergraduate education where she studied biochemistry. She then earned her medical degree at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Rios-Wilson was born in Mexico, but she grew up in Buffalo, Oklahoma. She believes Buffalo was the perfect town in which to grow up, as it is an incredibly supportive community. It was there that she witnessed the hardships rural communities face regarding access to healthcare. Additionally, she learned how imperative it is to tear down language/cultural barriers in medicine. She credits her upbringing for her developing a passion for improving access to rural communities and getting to serve those whose primary language is Spanish as a bilingual physician. Dr. Rios-Wilson's special interests within medicine include women's health and emergency medicine.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and toddler, playing board games, and watching movies.
