Ali Tipu, MD, specializes in conditions related to the endocrine system, including hypertension, osteoporosis, diabetes, thyroid conditions and more.

Tipu received a bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. He then came to the United States and volunteered at emergency and neurology departments in Oklahoma City. Tipu then completed an intern medicine residency in Brooklyn, N.Y. and an endocrinology fellowship in Pittsburgh. He completed board certifications for internal and obesity medicine, as well as been published numerous times for his studies on obesity, sickle cell disease and tuberculous mastitis. Tipu is a member of multiple medical organizations, including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, American College of Physicians, American Diabetes Association and the Endocrine Society.

He is fluent in English, Hindi, Pubjabi and Urdu.

When not caring for his patients, Dr. Tipu enjoys watching movies and sports. He also enjoys taking road trips with his friends and sightseeing.
