The Society of Hospital Medicine defines a hospitalist as a physician who delivers comprehensive medical care to acutely ill, hospitalized patients. Dr. Abdullah Al Masud is a hospitalist who treats adult patients at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital. His research interests include prevention of infectious diseases. In addition, he has a special interest in teaching the next generation of medical professionals.

Dr. Masud is an assistant professor of internal medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

He is member of the American College of Physicians.
