Michelle Piole, APRN-CNP

Michelle Piole provides inpatient pediatric critical care. Her interests include withdrawal symptoms and management in pediatric intensive care unit patients exposed to long-term use of benzodiazepines and/or narcotics, rapid response team activation in hospitals, and care of medically complex children.

Piole employs innovative techniques during treatments, including the use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), high-frequency ventilation, and continuous renal replacement therapies.

She serves as a nurse practitioner in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Critical Care, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

Piole is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

When not treating patients, she enjoys running and has completed a marathon. She also enjoys rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
