David Wathen, DO

Dr. David Wathen provides inpatient pediatric care for infants and children (birth to age 21), treating various illnesses and medical needs as well as offering pediatric sedation and post-surgical care. He sees pediatric patients across different hospital departments, from the pediatric ward to the emergency department and the pediatric intensive care unit.

Dr. Wathen's clinical interests include quality and patient safety. His goal is to provide his patients and their families with the highest quality clinical care, while taking the time to educate them about their disease and explain certain procedures or treatments. He is also focused on delivering care in the most efficient, safest manner possible.

Dr. Wathen is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hospital Medicine, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He has also been cited in various publications and journals on an array of pediatric patient topics.
