He has been my provider since I was in my late teens it will be a sad day when he is no longer there

He's been my dr for 36 years. This is a huge load to SSM health, the medical fields and the Waunakee community!

Dr. Ranum is everything a physician should be. He is caring, knowledgeable, intuitive, thorough and provides exceptional care while never making appointments feel rushed. His experience, caring manner, expertise, kindness, humor and gift for connecting with people is truly special. After 35 years as my PCP there is no one I would trust more with my care. Being able to trust that my doctor has great understanding of my medical history and understands me as a person brings a level of comfort to medical care that is difficult to come by. Nothing but grateful for him.

He is an exceptional physician.

That is the best he knows everyone he knows everything about me and he knows what I can do and what I can’t and I am really gonna miss him when he retires

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Ranum. I’ve been his patient for over 30 years, and there is truly no one I would trust more with my care. He is everything you hope for in a doctor—knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate, patient, and genuinely invested in the people he cares for. He listens. He never makes you feel rushed or dismissed, and he takes the time to figure things out, even when you show up with something a little unusual! 😊 After more than three decades, he knows me incredibly well, and there is such a comfort in having a doctor who knows your history and truly knows you as a person. His combination of experience, intuition, kindness, and humor is something very special. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had him as my doctor for all these years. Thirty-plus years of consistently exceptional care says more than any five-star review ever could. He is simply the absolute best, and I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

I am very sorry to hear that Dr. Ranum may be retiring. This will be a huge loss to our community
