Vikas Kumar, MD, PhD, is a neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist who is board certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology. Dr. Kumar holds a bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery from Darbhanga Medical College, India and a medical degree in physiology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi and a PhD in molecular physiology and biophysics from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He completed his residency in neurology and a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology (EMG) at Saint Louis University School of Medicine where he also served as chief resident. In addition, he has research interest in molecular neurosciences.

Besides practicing general neurology, he specializes in the treatment of ALS, myasthenia gravis, neuropathy, neuromuscular disorders and has special interest in Parkinson's disease, normal pressure hydrocephalus, headache, dementia.
