Thomas Berentsen is fellowship-trained and board certified in neurology. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health-Madison. Dr. Berentsen completed his internship in internal medicine at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, IL. He completed his residency and fellowship in neurology at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA.

Berentsen's practice is focused on epilepsy in adults and children, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, sleep disorders, headache in adults and children, multiple sclerosis, Botox injections, and attention deficit disorders in adults. He also performs EEG and EMG-NCV testing, video-EEG monitoring, and polysomnography testing/studies.

In his free time, Dr. Berentsen enjoys skiing, golf, music, traveling, and hiking.
