Shin Miyata, MD, is a pediatric general surgeon at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. He also serves as an assistant professor of pediatric surgery at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

Dr. Miyata sees patients up to 18 years old and specializes in minimally invasive surgery, trauma surgery and neonatal surgery. He is certified in PALS specific to pediatric patients.

Dr. Miyata completed medical school at Okayama University School of Medicine in 2003, general surgery residency in Japan and in the United States at University of Maryland Medical Center and completed two surgical fellowships - one in surgical critical care from Children's Hospital Los Angeles and another in pediatric surgery from CHU Sainte-Justine, University of Montreal.
