Dr. Shawn Kim is a critical care medicine and pulmonary disease specialist, who treats patients ages 18 and older. Primarily, he diagnoses, treats, and supports critically ill patients, particularly those with multiple organ dysfunction. He also assesses and treats various lung conditions, such as acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).

Dr. Kim is trained in the technological procedures and devices commonly used in intensive care unit (ICU) settings, including critical care ultrasounds, ventilators, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machines.

Dr. Kim is an assistant professor with the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

He is a member of the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians.

Fun fact: Dr. Kim's favorite basketball team is the L.A. Lakers. He also enjoys traveling and hiking with his wife.
