Dr. Ramona Behshad cares for skin cancer patients using the latest treatment and surgical techniques, including Mohs surgery, for the highest cure rate. She treats patients with melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and rare skin tumors. Dr. Behshad performs laser surgery, reconstructive surgery, and surgical scar revision.

Her research interests include: wound healing and scar formation; optimizing facial reconstructive techniques; skin cancer biology and treatment; and raising awareness of scalp skin cancer among hairstylists.

Dr. Behshad is an assistant professor in the Department of Dermatology, specializing in Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

She is an active member of several professional organizations, serving on committees and work groups for: the American Academy of Dermatology; American Society for Dermatologic Surgery; American College of Mohs Surgery; American Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine; and the Women's Dermatologic Society, among other state and local associations.
