Dr. Ralph Silverman is a colon and rectal surgeon, specializing in treatment of colon cancer, rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease - both ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease - diverticulitis and colon polyps. He also performs anorectal procedures for common issues such as hemorrhoids, rectal bleeding and fecal incontinence. He uses the latest minimally invasive techniques in his practice to improve surgical outcomes and reduce recovery time for patients.
Dr. Silverman is an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Silverman enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, hiking and camping.

Dr Silverman is an excellent surgeon and a straight forward tell you like it is doctor and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Dr Silverman was great and made me feel comfortable at my visit. He explained everything I needed to know in a way that was very clear on what I needed to do. Very pleasant visit.
