Dr. Radu Serban is a vascular and interventional radiologist who treats a wide range of conditions using image guidance (ultrasound, x-rays, CT) to perform minimally invasive procedures through tiny incisions. This contributes to increased patient comfort and improved healing time with a speedy recovery.

His interests include kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty for treatment of back pain related to spinal compression fractures, treatment of liver or renal cancer, hemodialysis access (maintenance of fistula or graft access), vascular access (central lines, port placement), inferior vena cava filter placement and retrieval, thrombectomy for pulmonary embolism, treatment of internal bleeding, biliary access.

Dr. Serban is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiology, Division of Interventional Radiology, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, American College of Radiology, and the Radiological Society of North America.
