Patrick Vining, MD Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgery in Madison, WI

Patrick Vining, MD, specializes in the surgical treatment of conditions including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, aortic aneurysms, lung cancer and mediastinal masses.

Dr. Vining earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, completed his residency at Indiana University and fellowship training at Vanderbilt University.

Drawn to cardiothoracic surgery by a fascination with cardiac anatomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the treatment of serious diseases, Dr. Vining is committed to delivering exceptional, team-based care.

Outside of work, Dr. Vining enjoys traveling, exploring new cities, watching movies, and playing trivia. One of his favorite travel experiences was visiting Thailand after medical school, where he achieved a lifelong goal of interacting with elephants. He is also a dedicated fan of the Los Angeles Chargers and St. Louis Cardinals.
