Dr. Noah Hillman specializes in care for newborns, with particular interest in preterm lung injury, mechanical and non-invasive ventilation, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. He treats premature and extremely premature infants, normal and sick newborns, and those needing Level II-IV neonatal intensive care.

Dr. Hillman uses the latest technology in his practice, including bubble CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) to support spontaneous breathing by infants.

His research interests include ventilator-induced lung injury and the progression of inflammation and injury toward bronchopulmonary dysplasia in preterm infants. He focuses on decreasing lung injury in the smallest infants.

Dr. Hillman is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
