Dr. Miguel Guzman performs examinations of pediatric tissue biopsies and resections, brain biopsies and brain specimens, and placentas. He also conducts pediatric and fetal autopsies. His areas of specialty include adult and pediatric brain tumors, pediatric tumors, and Alzheimer's disease.

In his work, Dr. Guzman employs the latest technology, using electron microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and molecular cytogenetics.

His research interests include myelin disorders in mucopolysacharidosis, vascular regulation in pediatric and adult brain tumors, and the genetic basis of congenital hydrocephalus.

Dr. Guzman is an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

He is a member of the Society for Pediatric Pathology, the American Association of Neuropathologists, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
