Dr. Mitike is board certified in neurology and in sleep medicine. He received his medical degree from Jimma University in Ethiopia and completed his neurology residency and sleep medicine fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes Jewish Hospital.

Dr. Mitike treats all types of sleep disorders and offers expertise in the treatment of restless legs syndrome, parasomnias, narcolepsy and insomnia. He is the medical director for both the SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis and SSM Health St. Clare Hospital - Fenton sleep disorders programs, and sees patients at both of these locations.

Dr Mitike has a very good manner with his patients and especially with patience as I am extremely hard of hearing and had a hard time understanding him with his natural accent. He is a good man.

I’m very impressed with Dr. Mitike and his staff. I’m glad we found him and he has made an enormously positive impact on my 95 year old mother’s quality of life. I’m not sure how to express my gratitude for his belief in mom’s capacity to get well and his efforts to help her continue to improve.
