Melissa Carter, APRN-CNP

Melissa Carter, FNP-C, is a certified nurse practitioner who specializes in general otolaryngology (ENT) for patients ages 18 and older. She commonly treats voice concerns; muscle tension dysphonia; dysphagia; acid reflux; rhinitis; sinusitis; vocal cord paralysis; and vocal cord lesions, polyps, and disorders. She also performs various procedures including cerumen (earwax) removals; laryngoscopies; nasal endoscopies; stroboscopies; and microscopic ear exams.

Melissa strives to have a meaningful impact on her patients' lives, providing evidence-based care and ensuring they feel seen and heard. She believes patients should be actively involved in their care management and treatment plans. Her patients appreciate her compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional approach.

Melissa works collaboratively with physicians in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
