Matthew Buhr, ANP-BC, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in geriatric medicine. He cares for adults ages 65 and older throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area. Matthew provides specialized evaluations for older adults with complex medical, memory, functional, and social needs, creating personalized care plans that support health, independence, and quality of life.

His clinical interests include delirium, *overmedication monitoring,* falls prevention, frailty, and sarcopenia, the age-related loss of muscle mass and strength. Matthew is committed to helping older adults age as successfully as possible through individualized, evidence-based care. He promotes the latest best practices in caring for hospitalized older adults and strives to address each patient's unique needs with compassion and expertise.

Matthew is proud to serve in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Geriatric Medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys spending time outdoors, including bowhunting in the fall and turkey hunting in the spring. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters and cheering on one of his daughters at her basketball games.
