Mary Brigid Holloran-Schwartz, MD

Dr. Mary Brigid Holloran-Schwartz treats patients for abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, menopause, and endometriosis. She provides surgical consultation for benign gynecologic disease. Her areas of specialty include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, total laparoscopic hysterectomy, and myomectomy (procedure to remove benign tumors from the muscular wall of the womb). Dr. Holloran-Schwartz incorporates the latest technology during treatment, including complex laparoscopic benign gynecologic surgery.

She is interested in research into the predictive factors of difficult laparoscopic hysterectomy, use of misoprostol for operative hysteroscopy and cost-effectiveness of disposable energy sources.

Dr. Holloran-Schwartz is a professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is the director of the Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.

Dr. Holloran-Schwartz is a member of the St. Louis Obstetric and Gynecologic Society. She is also director of the Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology at SSM St. Mary's Health Center.
